Meet John
John Weir is the President and CEO of the Hypnosis Center For Motivation and Habit Management as well as Today’s My Day Productions Incorporated.  He is a Board Certified Hypnotist and a Certified Instructor through the National Guild of Hypnotists and also a member of The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.

John is on the board and an active member of The Hypnotism Society of Pennsylvania.  The Hypnotism Society of Pennsylvania is the oldest hypnotism society in the world and is made up of three chapters; Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Bucks County. 

In 2007, John received the honor of ‘Distinguished Practitioner’ from Pnosis, which is the largest online hypnotism magazine.  He had an article published in the Journal of Hypnotism, the field’s top professional journal.  John is a sought after instructor and a part of the National Guild of Hypnotists faculty for the 2008 international convention held in Marlborough Massachusetts. 

John has worked with some of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s most prestigious hospitals.  He continues to do work with Excela Health Systems (Westmoreland, Latrobe, and Frick Hospitals) to help their employees stop smoking and reduce weight.  John was a guest lecturer at Allegheny General Hospital during their Pain Control week on how to use hypnosis for pain management.   

As a Stage Hypnotist, John studied under two of the world's most famous and renowned hypnotists, Ormond McGill and Jerry Valley.  Since November 2007, The Hometown Hypnotist John Weir has been a monthly performer at the Pittsburgh Improv.  A few other places John has performed at include The Boardwalk Hotel and Casino on the strip in Las Vegas, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, The Omni William Penn Hotel, The Carnegie Library of Homestead Music Hall, and on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh.  John regularly performs for local high schools, colleges, companies, fundraisers, and private parties. 


John’s work has been highlighted throughout multiple media forums.   He made his television debut on the television show, “A Better Life” with host Meredith Baxtor.  The show was on self-improvement, and John was the shows Stop Smoking Specialist.  This show aired twice on primetime in 2006.   He has been a guest of many radio programs such as on Pittsburgh Sunday Morning with Sean McDowell, which aired on all 6 Clear Channel Communications stations (102.5fm WDVE, 96.1fm KISS, 105.9fm WXDX, 94.5fm 3WS, 104.7fm NewsTalk and 970am FOX Sports).  John’s work has been featured in several newspapers like The Trib P.M, The Daily Courier, The Valley Mirror, and The Globe.
